FRESH CROISSANTS ARRIVE IN MIAMI BEACH
President David THAU founded LA PROVENCE in 1997. David , originally from Provence, France, studied both business and baking in his native country, attending schools devoted to these subjects as well as apprenticing under other successfulFrench bakers and pastry Chefs. David had previously visited Miami Beach on vacation and returned in 1997 to open the bakery at its present location.
JOIN THE SHOW
LA PROVENCE consists of 3.700 square feet, divided into several spaces essential to the different functions of the bakery. There is a sales area with display case, product shelves, beverages and cash registers ; a small seating area with tables and chairs ; two exposed kitchens ; a pantry and dishwashing area ; a storage room with refrigerators and freezers for warehousing fresh ingredients, dry products and packaging ; and a small office for the owner/president and manager.
LA PROVENCE's distinguishing feature is its two openly visible kitchens, one for producing croissants and pastries, the other for making bread, that enable customers to observe bakers and pastry Chefs creating French delicacies. David cleverly designed the bakery so that the bread kitchen is located in the front of the store facing Collins avenue ; street-level windows provide a means for engaging pedestrians passing by and enticing them with the sights and smells of an authentic French Bakery.

David opens his second store to respond to the local and active residents request for having a French Bakery in their area.
